Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Collabtive version 3.1
Description
The issue is related to Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) via the
name parameter. This occurs in two files: tasklist.php under the action add/edit and admin.php under the action adduser/edituser. There is no information provided about the estimated number of potentially affected devices worldwide or real-world incidents where this issue was exploited.Recommendations
For Collabtive version 3.1, consider restricting access to the
name parameter in the affected files tasklist.php and admin.php to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the name parameter in the affected API endpoints until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
