CVE-2024-26825

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to a skb leak in the Linux kernel's NFC Controller Interface (NCI) implementation. The rx data reassembly skb is stored during NCI data exchange for processing fragmented packets and is dropped only when the last fragment is processed or when an NTF packet with NCI OP RF DEACTIVATE NTF opcode is received. However, the NCI device may be deallocated before that, leading to a skb leak. The rx data reassembly skb is bound to the NCI device, and nothing prevents the device from being freed before the skb is processed and cleaned.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
