CVE-2024-26632

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description: The issue is related to the bio first folio() function in the Linux kernel's block subsystem, which can cause a NULL pointer dereference when the bio contains no data. This can lead to a denial of service. The problem occurs when bio first folio() calls page folio() on a NULL pointer, resulting in an oops. The fix involves moving the test for the end of the bio from bio next folio() to bio first folio().
Recommendations: At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
