Description:
The issue is related to a late dereference check of the
dsc variable in the link set dsc pps packet() function. This function is part of the drm/amd/display module in the Linux kernel. The problem arises when the struct display stream compressor *dsc is dereferenced before a NULL pointer check, potentially leading to a crash or other unintended behavior. The vulnerability could be exploited to cause a denial of service.Recommendations:
