Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description:
The issue arises when USB virtualization is enabled, and USB2 ports are shared among all Virtual Functions. The USB2 port number owned by a USB2 root hub in a Virtual Function may be less than the total USB2 phy number supported by the Tegra XUSB controller. Using the total USB2 phy number as a port number to check all PORTSC values can cause invalid memory access. This can lead to a kernel paging request, as indicated by the call trace that includes functions such as
tegra xusb enter elpg(), tegra xusb runtime suspend(), and pm generic runtime suspend().Recommendations:
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
