| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
WhatsUp Gold versions prior to 2023.1.3
Description:
The issue allows an authenticated user with certain permissions to upload an arbitrary file, which can lead to remote code execution (RCE) using the Apm.UI.Areas.APM.Controllers.Api.Applications.AppProfileImportController.
Recommendations:
For versions prior to 2023.1.3, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the
Apm.UI.Areas.APM.Controllers.Api.Applications.AppProfileImportController controller until a patch is available. Restrict access to file upload functionality to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Unrestricted File Upload
