CVE-2024-50081

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description: The issue is related to the blk-mq component in the Linux kernel. It occurs when the q->tag set is not set up before the cpuhp handler is enabled, leading to a kernel oops. The problem arises from the need to check queue mapping via the tag set in the hctx's cpuhp handler, but the q->tag set may not be initialized at that point.
Recommendations: At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
