CVE-2024-50101

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description: The issue is related to the iommu/vt-d component of the Linux kernel, where the domain context clear() function incorrectly called pci for each dma alias() to set up context entries for non-PCI devices. This could lead to kernel hangs or other unexpected behavior. A check has been added to only call pci for each dma alias() for PCI devices, and for non-PCI devices, domain context clear one() is called directly.
Recommendations: At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
