CVE-2024-50144

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Linux Kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description: The issue is related to the drm/xe module in the Linux kernel, where the function fence fini() can be called twice, leading to an extra rpm put() which might cause the device to enter suspend when it shouldn't. This could be a candidate for known mysterious splats with devices going to sleep even with an rpm ref. The problem occurs when sending the GuC CT for the tlb request and signaling the fence, returning an error, and the caller also calling fini() on the error path.
Recommendations: At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
