Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Linux Kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description:
A memory leak issue has been identified in the Linux kernel, specifically in the bpf parse param() function. The problem occurs when parsing mount options, where the value of
param->string is not preserved, leading to a memory leak. This issue can cause the kmalloc area pointed to by param->string to be leaked. The leak is demonstrated by an unreferenced object, and a backtrace is provided showing the call stack leading to the leak.Recommendations:
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
