CVE-2024-50185

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description: The issue concerns the handling of corrupted DSS options in the Linux kernel's MPTCP implementation. A bugged peer implementation can send corrupted DSS options, leading to warnings in the data path. To address this, DEBUG NET assertions are used to handle the error consistently, involving the dumping of related MIBs and performing fallback and/or reset according to the subflow type.
Recommendations: At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
