CVE-2024-5021

CVSS v3.1

9.3

Critical

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: WordPress Picture / Portfolio / Media Gallery plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 3.0.1
Description: The WordPress Picture / Portfolio / Media Gallery plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery via the file get contents function. This allows unauthenticated attackers to make web requests to arbitrary locations originating from the web application, potentially querying and modifying information from internal services.
Recommendations: For versions up to, and including, 3.0.1, consider disabling the file get contents function as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to internal services to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the plugin until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
