| Vector | AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Linux kernel versions prior to 6.11.6
Description:
The issue arises from a stale interrupt not being cleared before interrupts are enabled during resume, causing a race between the resume process and the restart work. This results in the system becoming unstable. The problem is fixed by clearing out any stale interrupts before interrupts get enabled during resume.
Recommendations:
To resolve the issue, update the Linux kernel to version 6.11.6 or later. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the
iwlegacy module until a patch is available. Restrict access to the vulnerable iwl4965 driver to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the il isr function in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved.Exploit
