Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description:
A division by zero risk has been identified in the Linux kernel's media component, specifically in the v4l2-tpg module. The issue arises from the logic in the
tpg precalculate line() function, which rescales the buffer even when scaled witdh is zero, potentially causing a division by zero error. This was reported by Coverity. To mitigate this, a WARN ON ONCE() has been added to trigger such cases and prevent precalculation.Recommendations:
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
