CVSS v3.1

7.8

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Linux kernel versions prior to 5.17.0
Description: The issue is related to a use-after-free vulnerability in the mt7921 irq handler function. This vulnerability can be exploited to cause a denial of service. The vulnerability occurs when the shared irq handler is not able to handle an unexpected event after deregistration, leading to a use-after-free condition.
Recommendations: To resolve this issue, update the Linux kernel to a version that includes the fix for the use-after-free vulnerability in the mt7921 irq handler function. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the mt7921 irq handler function until a patch is available.
