| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
zenml-io/zenml version 0.57.1
Description:
A reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) issue exists due to improper neutralization of input during web page generation, specifically within the
redirect parameter. This allows an attacker to redirect users to a specified URL after completing a survey, enabling the execution of arbitrary JavaScript code in the context of the user's browser session. This could be exploited to steal cookies, potentially leading to account takeover.Recommendations:
For version 0.57.1, consider disabling the survey redirect feature until a patch is available to prevent exploitation of the
redirect parameter. Restrict access to the survey functionality to minimize the risk of arbitrary JavaScript code execution. Avoid using the redirect parameter in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
