Description:
The issue allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service via the Network Function Virtualizations (NFVs) such as the User Plane Function (UPF) and the Session Management Function (SMF), during the Packet Data Unit (PDU) session establishment process.
Recommendations:
For Open 5GS version 2.7.1, consider temporarily disabling the Network Function Virtualizations (NFVs) such as the User Plane Function (UPF) and the Session Management Function (SMF) to minimize the risk of exploitation.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
