CVE-2024-51485

CVSS v3.1

8.1

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Ampache versions prior to 7.0.1
Description Ampache is a web-based audio/video streaming application and file manager. The current implementation of token parsing fails to properly validate CSRF tokens when activating or deactivating plugins. This issue allows an attacker to exploit CSRF attacks, potentially enabling them to change website features that should only be managed by administrators through malicious requests.
Recommendations For versions prior to 7.0.1, upgrade to version 7.0.1 to address the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to plugin activation and deactivation features to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the vulnerable token parsing mechanism until the issue is resolved.
