Description The issue is related to a Stack-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file. The vulnerability is associated with uncontrolled copying of user input, allowing an attacker to execute arbitrary code by opening a specially crafted malicious file.
Recommendations For Adobe Framemaker versions 2020.5, 2022.3 and earlier, consider avoiding the use of untrusted files until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, restrict the opening of files from unknown sources to minimize the risk of exploitation.
