Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
tagDiv Composer plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 5.0
Description
The issue is related to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the
envato code[] parameter due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping within the on ajax register forum user function. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 5.0, consider disabling the
on ajax register forum user function until a patch is available. Restrict access to the envato code[] parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the envato code[] parameter in affected API endpoints until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.XSS
