VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A NULL pointer dereference issue has been resolved in the Linux kernel. The issue occurs when acpi evaluate object() returns AE NOT FOUND, which can lead to dereferencing a NULL pointer. Although this scenario may be unrealistic in the current code, the fix protects against potential bugs. The issue is related to the drm/amdgpu component and the buffer.pointer (obj) variable. This fix addresses a FORWARD NULL issue reported by Coverity.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
