CVE-2024-53072

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue arises when loading the amd pmc module with enable stb=1, resulting in error messages in the kernel ring buffer, including SMU cmd failed and ioremap warnings. This occurs when requests for S2D PHYS ADDR LOW and S2D PHYS ADDR HIGH return a value of 0, indicating the STB is inaccessible. To address this, the code now handles the invalid address and displays an error message.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
