CVE-2024-53110

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel versions prior to 6.6.65
Description The issue is related to the vp vdpa in the Linux kernel, where the id table array is not null terminated, potentially causing vdpa mgmtdev get classes() to iterate multiple times and access undefined memory. This is resolved by allocating an extra virtio device id as a null terminator.
Recommendations For versions prior to 6.6.65, update to version 6.6.65 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the vdpa mgmtdev get classes() function until a patch is available.
