CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue concerns the handling of partial GPU mapping of buffer objects in the Linux kernel. Specifically, the Panthor component did not correctly handle cases where the partial mapping spanned multiple scatterlists and the mapping offset did not point to the first page of the starting scatterlist. This resulted in kernel warnings. The problem was identified in the panthor vm unmap pages function and involved the arm lpae unmap and drm gpuvm sm unmap functions. Warning messages were seen, including WARNING: CPU: 1 PID: 650 at drivers/iommu/io-pgtable-arm.c:659 arm lpae unmap+0x254/0x5a0 and panthor : [drm] drm WARN ON(unmapped sz != pgsize * pgcount).
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
