Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel versions prior to 6.6.65
Description
A vulnerability has been resolved in the Linux kernel, specifically in the drm/rockchip component. The issue involves a dereferenced before check warning, where the
state variable cannot be NULL and should be checked against crtc state. The warning is located in the vop plane atomic async check() function at line 1077 of the rockchip drm vop.c file.Recommendations
For Linux kernel versions prior to 6.6.65, update to version 6.6.65 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider adding a check for
crtc state before using the state variable in the vop plane atomic async check() function.Exploit
