Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved, related to the nfs/blocklayout module. The issue occurs when an unmount of a pNFS SCSI layout-enabled NFS may dereference a NULL block device. This happens because the lookup for the device was unable to attach the block device to the pnfs block dev. The vulnerability can be avoided by checking the PNFS BDEV REGISTERED flag before attempting to unregister the device.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
