CVE-2024-5327

CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions PowerPack Addons for Elementor plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.7.19
Description The issue is related to DOM-Based Stored Cross-Site Scripting. It occurs due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping, specifically via the pp animated gradient bg color parameter. This allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 2.7.19, update to a version that addresses the insufficient input sanitization and output escaping issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the pp animated gradient bg color parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation.
