CVSS v3.1
5.4
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
The Elementor Website Builder – More than Just a Page Builder plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 3.23.4
Description:
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the
url parameter of multiple widgets due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. This allows authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in Elementor Editor pages.Recommendations:
For versions up to, and including, 3.23.4, update to a version that includes the necessary patches, as version 3.23.2 includes a partial patch for this issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
url parameter of multiple widgets to minimize the risk of exploitation.Fix
