CVE-2024-5451

CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: The7 — Website and eCommerce Builder for WordPress theme versions up to, and including, 11.13.0
Description: The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the url attribute within the plugin's Icon and Heading widgets due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. This allows authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations: For versions up to, and including, 11.13.0, update to a version that addresses the insufficient input sanitization and output escaping issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Icon and Heading widgets for users with contributor-level access and above until a patch is available.
