Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Piotnet Addons For Elementor plugin for WordPress versions 1.0 through 2.4.30
Description
The Piotnet Addons For Elementor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's Image Accordion, Dual Heading, and Vertical Timeline widgets due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations
For versions 1.0 through 2.4.30, upgrade to version 2.4.31 to remediate the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Image Accordion, Dual Heading, and Vertical Timeline widgets until the upgrade is applied. Avoid using these widgets with untrusted input to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Fix
