Description This issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Kofax Power PDF. It requires user interaction, where the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The flaw exists within the parsing of JP2 files due to the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, resulting in a read past the end of an allocated object. This can be leveraged to execute code in the context of the current process.
