CVE-2024-5543

CVSS v3.1

8.1

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Slideshow Gallery LITE plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.8.1
Description The issue allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to perform time-based SQL Injection via the id parameter due to insufficient escaping on the user-supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This enables attackers to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries, which can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.8.1, update to a version that addresses the SQL Injection issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the id parameter in the affected plugin until a patch is available.

Fix

SQL injection
