| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
The Popup Maker WordPress plugin versions prior to 1.19.1
Description
The issue concerns a Stored Cross-Site Scripting flaw in the Popup Maker WordPress plugin. This flaw arises because the plugin does not properly sanitize and escape some of its settings. As a result, high-privilege users, such as administrators, can perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks, even in scenarios where the unfiltered html capability is disallowed, like in multisite setups.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 1.19.1, update to version 1.19.1 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the plugin's settings to minimize the risk of exploitation.
