Description
The issue is related to an out-of-bounds write vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file. This vulnerability is also associated with a buffer read out of bounds in memory, which could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations
For Adobe Framemaker versions 2020.5, 2022.3 and earlier, update to a version that is not affected by this issue to prevent arbitrary code execution.
As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of potentially malicious files until a patch is available.
Restrict access to untrusted files to minimize the risk of exploitation.
