CVE-2024-56543

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A vulnerability in the Linux kernel related to wifi has been fixed. It involves the ath12k feature and concerns the cleanup of Rx TID for self peers. During peer creation, dp setup for the peer is done where Rx TID is updated for all the TIDs. However, the peer object for self peers will not go through dp setup. When the core halts, dp cleanup is done for all peers, and accessing rx tid::ab causes a stack trace for self peers. The issue is resolved by using peer::sta to detect self peers and skip the cleanup.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
