CVE-2024-56564

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved by passing a cred pointer to ceph mds auth match(). This change eliminates a redundant get current cred() call, as ceph mds check access() has already obtained the necessary pointer. As a result, it also fixes a reference leak in ceph mds auth match() by avoiding an additional cred reference.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
