CVE-2024-56594

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel versions prior to 6.6.74
Description A vulnerability has been resolved in the Linux kernel related to the AMDGPU driver. The driver needs to set the correct max segment size to avoid over-mapping of the AMDGPU sg length. If not set correctly, debug dma map sg() will complain, resulting in a warning. The issue is related to the function debug dma map sg() and the amdgpu bo move() function in the amdgpu module.
Recommendations To resolve the issue, update the Linux kernel to version 6.6.74 or later. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of the amdgpu driver until a patch is available. Avoid using the amdgpu bo move() function in the amdgpu module until the issue is resolved.
