CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been identified, related to the intel soc pmic bxtwc driver. The issue arises from the incorrect implementation of the IRQ domain for USB Type-C devices, leading to flaws when creating MFD devices. The problem was discovered when the platform get irq() function started warning about IRQ 0, which is supposed to be a Linux IRQ number. The driver needs to be reworked to respect the IRQ domain for each MFD device separately, as the domain is not the same for all of them.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
