CVE-2024-56724

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A vulnerability has been resolved in the Linux kernel related to the mfd: intel soc pmic bxtwc driver. The issue arises from the implementation of using the hierarchy of IRQ chips, which has inherited flaws. This was discovered when platform get irq() started warning on IRQ 0, a supposed Linux IRQ number (also known as vIRQ). The driver needs to be reworked to respect the IRQ domain when creating each MFD device separately, as the domain is not the same for all of them.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
