CVE-2024-56748

CVSS v2.0

4.6

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/Au:S/C:N/I:N/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A possible memory leak in the Linux kernel has been resolved. The issue is related to the qedf alloc and init sb() function, where the hook qed ops->common->sb init = qed sb init does not release the DMA memory sb virt when it fails. To fix this, dma free coherent() has been added to free the memory. This fix is similar to the approach used in qedr alloc mem sb() and qede alloc mem sb().
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
