CVE-2024-5758

None

No severity ratings or metrics are available. When they are, we'll update the corresponding info on the page.
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: PostX plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 4.0.4
Description: The PostX plugin for WordPress is affected by a Stored Cross-Site Scripting issue via the filterMobileText parameter. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping, allowing authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations: For versions up to, and including, 4.0.4, update to a version that includes a fix for this issue to prevent exploitation. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the filterMobileText parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation.
