CVE-2024-5884
CVSS v3.1
6.4
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
The Beauty theme for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.1.4
Description:
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the
tpl featured cat id parameter due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.Recommendations:
For versions up to, and including, 1.1.4, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
tpl featured cat id parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.XSS
