CVE-2024-6152

CVSS v3.1

8.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Flipbox Builder plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.5
Description: The issue allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to inject a PHP Object via deserialization of untrusted input in the flipbox builder Flipbox ShortCode function. This could potentially lead to the deletion of arbitrary files, retrieval of sensitive data, or execution of code if a POP chain is present via an additional plugin or theme installed on the target system.
Recommendations: For versions up to, and including, 1.5, consider disabling the flipbox builder Flipbox ShortCode function until a patch is available to prevent the deserialization of untrusted input. Restrict access to the Flipbox Builder plugin to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the Flipbox Builder plugin with additional plugins or themes that may introduce a POP chain until the issue is resolved.
