CVE-2024-6265
CVSS v3.1
9.8
Critical
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
UsersWP – Front-end login form, User Registration, User Profile & Members Directory plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.2.10
Description:
The issue is related to time-based SQL Injection via the
uwp sort by parameter due to insufficient escaping on the user-supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This allows unauthenticated attackers to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries, which can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.Recommendations:
For versions up to, and including, 1.2.10, consider disabling the
uwp sort by parameter until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to sensitive database information to minimize the risk of data extraction.Fix
SQL injection
