| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Gutenberg Forms plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.2.9
Description:
The issue allows arbitrary file uploads due to the ability of users to specify allowed file types in the
upload function. This enables unauthenticated attackers to upload arbitrary files on the affected site's server, potentially making remote code execution possible.Recommendations:
For versions up to, and including, 2.2.9, consider disabling the
upload function until a patch is available to prevent arbitrary file uploads. Restrict access to the affected plugin to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the upload function in the affected versions until the issue is resolved.Fix
Unrestricted File Upload
