CVSS v3.1
6.1
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Phlox PRO theme for WordPress versions up to, and including, 5.16.4
Description
The issue is related to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via search parameters due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 5.16.4, update to a version later than 5.16.4 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to search parameters to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using search parameters in links or forms until the issue is resolved.
Fix
