| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
WP Popups – WordPress Popup builder plugin versions up to, and including, 2.2.0.1
Description
The issue is related to Full Path Disclosure, which occurs because the plugin utilizes mobiledetect without preventing direct access to the files. This allows unauthenticated attackers to retrieve the full path of the web application, potentially aiding other attacks. However, the disclosed information is not useful on its own and requires another vulnerability to be present to cause damage to an affected website.
Recommendations
For WP Popups – WordPress Popup builder plugin versions up to, and including, 2.2.0.1, consider updating to a version higher than 2.2.0.1 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting direct access to the mobiledetect files to minimize the risk of exploitation.
