| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Secure Copy Content Protection and Content Locking WordPress plugin versions prior to 4.1.7
Description
The issue is related to the Secure Copy Content Protection and Content Locking WordPress plugin, which does not properly sanitise and escape some of its settings. This could allow high privilege users, such as admins, to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks, even when the unfiltered html capability is disallowed, for example in a multisite setup.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 4.1.7, update to version 4.1.7 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the ability of high privilege users to access and modify the plugin's settings until the update is applied.
