Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions LH Add Media From Url plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.23
Description The issue is related to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link. The lh add media from url-file url parameter is specifically vulnerable to this type of attack.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.23, consider disabling the lh add media from url-file url parameter until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to the LH Add Media From Url plugin to minimize the risk of Reflected Cross-Site Scripting attacks. Avoid using the lh add media from url-file url parameter in affected pages until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
