CVE-2024-7144

CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions JetElements plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.6.20
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages via the id and slide id parameters. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 2.6.20, consider disabling the id and slide id parameters until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to pages that may have been injected with malicious scripts to minimize the risk of execution. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
